Celebrating Our 70 Year Legacy
Join us as we reflect on where we’ve been over our proud 70+ year legacy. When Marion Lucke founded our company, he was committed to building quality homes with honesty and integrity. As a third generation business, it’s a formula for success that we uphold every day. Over the years, we’ve endured the ups and downs of the economy, adapted as design trends shifted and expanded into new ventures through the ever changing housing industry. Our success would not be possible without the foundation laid by Marion and the circle of people who have chosen to stand by The Robert Lucke Group. Thank you to our employees, vendors, subcontractors, business partners and customers who have helped make The Robert Lucke Group what it is today.

Our Team Of Experts
These are the amazingly talented faces behind all the years, the hard work and the breathtaking custom homes that act as the very cornerstone of our company.
Owner & President
Scott took the reins of the company as president in 2017 as the successor to his father Robert Lucke. He grew up working on the job sites while gaining knowledge of constructing quality-built homes. Further, he holds a degree in construction management from Northern Kentucky University. Scott said, “I look at every home as if I was building my own personal home and love sharing that experience with our customers.”
CEO & Chairman Of The Board
Robert grew up in the home building industry and started his career as a framing carpenter for his dad’s company Lucke and Strassel Builders. After several roles in the company, he was named President of Lucke Homes in 1980 and formed Robert Lucke Homes in 1985. At age 30, he was one of the youngest board members of the Home Builders Association of Greater Cincinnati and elected as President of the organization in 1987. Robert was voted by the Board in 2009 to be a lifetime member. During his tenure with the Lucke companies, Robert was involved in every contract and strived for excellent customer service. He also volunteered with Boys and Girls Hope, Easter Seals, Sycamore Athletic Club and coached the Sycamore Comets. Although now retired, he continues as chairman of the board and CEO for the Robert Lucke Group. He said, “I believe in a strong work ethic and understand the value of quality products and workmanship and that makes us stand out from others. I’m very happy with our longevity and reputation.”
Marion was born (in 1931) and raised in Cincinnati. He got his start in the home-building industry at age 18 by working one-on-one with a carpenter learning the trade. Every aspect of construction was done by hand, there were no prefabricated pieces. From a young age, he learned the importance of honesty from his father and farm owner Edward Lucke, who taught him all about farming and hard work. That principle was a key foundation when Marion and his business partner Bill Strassel founded Lucke & Strassel in 1953 and it still rings true 70 years later. Although Marion said that when he was a student at Loveland High School (class of 1949) he never intended to be a builder, he’s very proud of the business he started and grew into the 1980s. He is retired, but at 92 years young, he still runs permits for the company. He is married to his high school sweetheart Roseann, also 92 years young. Marion said, “My son, Robert, and now my grandson, Scott, continue the tradition of excellence that I started. I’m confident the company will be building quality homes for families long into the future.”
Tom has been with Lucke for 26 years with a background in heavy construction. Prior to his current position, he served as project manager on several multi-million-dollar homes including six Homearama houses. He said, “My goal is to build quality homes with customer satisfaction, in a timely manner.”
Senior Project Manager
Besides the Lucke family, Doug has the longest tenure with the company. He’s worked at Lucke for 46 years holding various positions including laborer, service manager, vice president of field operations and senior project manager. He started with Lucke when he ran into a friend from his youth and asked him for a summer job. Doug said, “Who knew that one summer job would last 46 years! It has been a great experience to work for three generations of the Lucke family. Marion, Bob and Scott, each one unique, but all three of them share the commitment to quality and professionalism.”
Chief Financial Officer
Elizabeth has been with the company for more than 25 years. She has an associate’s degree in accounting from the College of Charleston, which is in her hometown of Charleston, South Carolina. Elizabeth has been working in the real estate industry since graduating from college. She said, “I love meeting people who have good memories of living in a Lucke home or from when their parents built with Lucke.”
Mikel has been affiliated with the Lucke Group since he was 12 years old. He performs many aspects of construction, from rough framing, basement remodels, roofing, siding, bricklaying, tile setting and basic labor, Mikel brings a wide range of experience to Lucke. He said, “I love what I do.”
Sales & Marketing Manager
Randy is celebrating 15 years with Robert Lucke Group, Inc., and has over 34 years of sales experience. Before pursuing new construction sales, he worked in the financial services industry, but always had an interest in new home design and construction. Randy’s desire to always do his best to help customers fits in well with Lucke’s core values. He said, “I enjoy building a customer’s trust and helping them make the best decision they can by guiding them through the home buying and designing process.”
Design & Selections Coordinator
Janie joined the Robert Lucke Group in 2017. She holds a bachelor's degree in interior design from The Ohio State University. Previously, Janie worked as an interior designer for eight years at other companies. Janie said, “My goal is to provide each of our homeowners with a well-designed custom plan and experience through the selections process.”

Jeff said, “I enjoy working with all our customers on providing them with the best product, home and service possible.”
After graduating from The Ohio State University's construction systems management program in 2017, Scott worked as a builder at another company for more than four years. He joined the Lucke staff almost two years ago. In his youth, he learned his craft by working alongside his dad on remodeling projects and additions. He said, “I plan to work here until I retire!”
Michael is a Veteran of the USMC (Sergeant) and attended Miami University. More than 20 years ago he committed to making the housing industry his profession. Michael previously worked as a trim carpenter, costing administrator and project manager. He is an active member of the Home Builders Association of Greater Cincinnati. He said, “I am passionate about doing all I can to see our clients’ dreams realized with a custom Lucke home.”

Previously, she’s been a business owner and a senior assistant administrator for a large corporation. She said, “I love to inspire people to believe that there is always a more efficient way to reach a more satisfying result.”
